Frequently Asked Questions
Q. Do I need to create an account?
A. No. Trip Plan Viewer works immediately without any sign-up. All your data is saved locally in your browser.
Q. Will my data be lost if I refresh the page?
A. No — everything is auto-saved to your browser's localStorage in real time. As long as you use the same browser on the same device, your data persists between sessions.
Q. Can I view my plan on another device?
A. Device sync is not currently supported. We recommend exporting as PNG or PDF and sharing that file with your group.
Q. What quality are the exported images?
A. Exports are captured at 2× pixel density (Retina resolution). The 800 px-wide plan card is rendered at 1600 px, which looks crisp on mobile screens and when shared on social media.
Q. Is there a watermark on exports?
A. A small "Made with Trip Plan Viewer" footer appears at the bottom of the plan card. There are no other logos or watermarks.
Q. Is it free?
A. Yes, completely free. All features are available at no cost.
Tips & Tricks
- Set the weather icon for each day of your trip after checking the forecast — it makes the plan card look much richer.
- Use the quick-add preset chips in the Rules section to instantly add common rules like "clean up after yourself."
- Check off grocery items before your trip so you can track what you still need to buy.
- Rename the export file (e.g. "Bali-trip-2025") before downloading so it's easy to find later.
- Try dark mode for night-time planning sessions — it's easier on the eyes.
- Match the season theme to your destination: try Spring "Blooming Herb" for a cherry blossom trip, or Summer "Blue Lagoon" for a beach vacation.
